Levitation is a great title, love the fabric and the sense of weightlessness it conveys.
Love the classic pinup "big eyes," hair, and makeup (very 20's flapper) mixed with the boots & piercing for the modern edge. The smoke lends a nice bit of atmosphere.
Only quibble is that the lighting & colors are a bit muddy & it loses some depth & definition.
Great concept and location. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's a nice artificial lighting source there.
You get the 'ooomph' out of the camera, but you somehow diminished it to a 'zzzzz' by (over?)retouching it. Look at the dark lines on her legs - that's so unflattering. Also look at her face that's burned red-brownish. You may want to do localized editing on her face on that department.
Nice technique, just don't overdo.
First, nice timing. You shouldn't have much difficulty shooting this with the availability of continuous shooting mode.
Second, avoid spot color - the most dreaded editing technique nowadays. Leave the image in original color, or you can play with the saturation/split-toning, or make it monochrome all the way. Just don't do it halfway.
Third, align the image. Make sure the line is straight (notice the slanted pool edge). Okay, I'm not saying you should make all things aligned. Some images are better with fisheye perspective, slanted angle, etc. but this image is not.
Last but not least, good work capturing the moment.
As posted above, I love the concept of this shot. You always seem to bring something new to the table in your port.
Ive seen this done many times(I plan on attempting it myself) by various photogs...but your version is best yet.
The only thing that could have improved this image is a a slightly darker background. She has such lovely pale skin and hair.
